Recently, the Party branch of Changshu Polyester Co., Ltd. organized all Party members, middle-level cadres, and technical backbones to enter the Red Holy Land of Jurong in three batches - the Su Nan Anti Japanese War Victory Monument and the New Fourth Army Memorial Hall. They carried out a significant Party building activity, allowing Party members to appreciate the revolutionary spirit and draw strength for progress in their pursuit of historical footprints.
The Victory Monument of the Southern Jiangsu Anti Japanese War stands on the top of Wangmu Mountain at the northern foot of Maoshan. In 1995, to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the victory of the Anti Japanese War, this monument carrying a profound history was erected. The monument is 6 meters wide and 36 meters high, and was named by General Zhang Aiping, the former Minister of National Defense. When party members stand under the monument, a sense of solemnity and solemnity arises. The wonderful phenomenon of setting off firecrackers in front of the monument and listening to military bugles below it makes everyone feel as if they have traveled through time and space, and heard the clarion call of the Anti Japanese War.
Leaving the monument, everyone walked into the Maoshan New Fourth Army Memorial Hall. This memorial hall, built in September 1985, covers an area of 163000 square meters and is divided into an exhibition area and a memorial viewing area. There are six exhibition halls in the museum, vividly showcasing the Anti Japanese War process of the New Fourth Army in the southern Jiangsu region through a large number of precious pictures, photographs, physical objects, and modern display methods.
