
1、 Main material of the matrix
Nylon 6 (PA6) spinning grade slicing
Obtained by hydrolysis polymerization of caprolactam, it is specialized for long fibers with a viscosity of generally 2.4-2.8. It can be divided into semi dull, fully dull, and glossy sections, and is the main raw material for fibers.
2、 UV resistant functional components (two main routes: organic light stabilization and inorganic shielding)
1. Organic light stabilizer (mainstream for long filaments, priority for light/colored filaments)
The combination of HALS, a general hindered amine light stabilizer, and UVA, a UV absorber, has limited effectiveness when used alone.
Hindered amine light stabilizer (HALS): captures free radicals generated by photooxidation and inhibits molecular chain degradation; Suitable for low alkaline nylon grades to avoid wire breakage, typical: 770, 622, NOR HALS acid resistant type, with an addition amount of 0.1-0.5%.
UV absorbers UVA: benzotriazoles and triazines (UV-234, UV-1164) absorb UVA/UVB and convert it into thermal energy; High thermal stability, suitable for high-temperature spinning processing, with an addition amount of 0.2-1.0%.
Industry common practice: HALS+UVA is made into anti UV functional masterbatch, which is blended with PA6 slices in proportion for easy measurement, uniform dispersion, and reduced risk of spinning breakage.
2. Inorganic UV shielding powder (high weather resistance, black/dark products)
Powder reflects and scatters ultraviolet rays, suitable for outdoor high durability products (rope nets, tarpaulins).
Nano titanium dioxide TiO ₂ (rutile type, preferred, anatase type has photocatalytic reaction effect)
Zinc oxide, barium sulfate, zirconium carbide composite powder
Carbon black: specifically designed for black silk, with strong UV resistance. It is only used for black products and cannot be made into light colored fabrics.
Light colored sunscreen fabrics often use organic systems; Outdoor ropes and sunshade nets are commonly made of organic and inorganic compounds.
3、 Supporting auxiliary agents (essential for spinning)
Antioxidant (primary antioxidant+secondary antioxidant phosphate ester)
Resistant to high-temperature thermal oxidative degradation during spinning, while synergistically improving the photo aging life and preventing fiber yellowing, commonly used in 1098 and 168 composites.
Dispersants, coupling agents
Used in inorganic powder formula to improve the dispersion of powder in nylon melt, prevent clogging and wire breakage of the spray nozzle.
Spinning oil agent
Apply oil on the back end, which is not a sliced blending material, used for filament stretching and reducing static electricity.
4、 Two production process routes
Mother grain blended yarn (mainstream industrial route)
Spinning grade PA6 chips+anti UV functional masterbatch (containing light stabilizer/inorganic powder, carrier), screw melt extrusion, spinning and stretching to obtain FDY/DTY anti UV nylon 6 filament, with a simple and stable process, suitable for large-scale production.
Aggregation in-situ addition
Directly adding light stabilizing components during the polymerization stage of caprolactam requires high hydrolysis resistance and high cost of additives, and is rarely used.
5、 Applicable product direction
Sunscreen fabric, outdoor tent, sunshade net, safety rope, webbing, tarpaulin, car interior fabric, agricultural rope net.
