In order to implement the relevant requirements of the Safety Production Law and the Emergency Drill for Emergencies, and to enhance the evacuation and escape capabilities of employees in the event of a fire, Changshu Polyester Co., Ltd. organized an emergency evacuation drill on February 11th. The Polyester Division and Lida Division conducted the drill in an orderly manner at 12:00 and 13:00 on the same day, with a total of 357 employees from both divisions participating in the drill.
Before the drill, all relevant personnel such as the drill command group, emergency evacuation group, and rescue alert group should be on duty, with clear division of labor and respective responsibilities. After the drill started, the polyester business unit signaled a sudden power outage and activated the emergency alarm system. The Lida business unit received emergency broadcast evacuation instructions, and each team leader quickly organized employees to gather and evacuate to a safe area according to evacuation signs. On site staff guided evacuation at each staircase entrance. After the employees arrived at the assembly point, the team leader immediately called to confirm the number of people and reported the evacuation situation to the emergency rescue commander. The evacuation time for the polyester business unit was about 1 minute and 50 seconds, and for the Lida business unit it was about 2 minutes and 10 seconds.
After the drill, Chairman and General Manager Cheng Jianliang affirmed the overall effectiveness of the drill, while pointing out the problems of some employees' lax attitude and lack of urgency in the drill. He reiterated the importance of fire evacuation points and safety production, and required all employees to always tighten the safety string.
This drill effectively tested the practicality of the company's emergency plan for safety production, further enhanced employees' awareness of fire safety, improved the ability of all staff to evacuate and cooperate in emergency situations, and laid a solid practical foundation for the company's safety production work.
